A Collection of Illustrated Micropoems on Self-Love.
By assembling vignettes and snapshots of thought, the work traces the physical and emotional journeys to self-acceptance, through healing from loss and a fragmenting relationship.
The work is divided into three parts: ‘sleep’ deals with bereavement, ‘wake’ kindles hope and ‘daydream’ reflects. The omnipresent Caribbean becomes a main character forming the technicolour backdrop of fiery, new love and a catalyst in the protagonist's coming to consciousness.
